Importantly, we pride ourselves on being a company filled with employees who care. As a truly “customer-centric” organization, we know that caring about going the extra mile for our customers – and each other – is essential. This caring attitude also extends beyond our own walls.
With our employees’ assistance, D+H is able to meaningfully support the health and social services, youth education and development, and arts and culture of the broader community. While we support a variety of causes each year, one of our favourites is the United Way. Every year our employees show incredible enthusiasm and generosity in support of the United Way, and the success of those efforts reinforces how many great people we have at D+H. For our 2012 campaign, D+H raised more than $700,000, and over the past 10 years, D+H has donated over $3.4 million to this worthy cause. We are all very proud of this accomplishment.
Beyond the United Way, we see regular reminders of how committed our employees are to making a positive difference within their communities. For example, a large number of our employees participate in D+H’s Employee Donation program, whereby D+H donates to causes where our employees volunteer their time. D+H employees also regularly participate in a variety of fundraising and environmentally focused activities held throughout the year.
