Cheque fraud is one of the most damaging forms of identity theft. Not only can it wipe out a client’s bank account, it can also damage their credit report.

Several of our customers now include D+H EZShield Cheque Fraud Protection as an optional feature with their business cheque programs. Small businesses that opt to include this feature with their cheque order will benefit from quick advancement of lost funds (up to $25,000) if victimized by cheque fraud, allowing their cash flow to continue while their financial institution investigates the fraud.

EZShield Cheque Fraud Protection provides peace of mind for small businesses against situations of:

  • Forged Signatures – legitimate cheques that are forged with the account holder’s signature, resulting in a debit to your chequing account
  • Forged Endorsements – legitimate cheques that are endorsed and cashed or deposited by someone other than the designated payee, based on a fraudulent and false endorsement
  • Altered Cheques – legitimate cheques that contain altered information such as the payee identification or cheque amount
